Hampton Roads Pickleball Club

Great experience at Hampton Roads Pickleball Club! I’ve been playing here since it opened and really enjoy it. The facility is impressive—everything is always very well kept and maintained, from the courts to the common areas. There’s a really good mix of skill levels, so whether you want a competitive match or just a fun game, you can find it here. But honestly, the best part is the people. The staff and owners are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome every time you walk in. Highly recommend checking them out

I want this place to be good; but at the moment, it's not . It's as if they don't realize they are competing with the Picklr. The Picklr has higher ceilings, a snack and drink bar, and has an established population and quality of play, good coaches, leagues, and it's right off of 64. There is negative incentive to go here over the Picklr. HRPC charges $22 for open play and it's $20 open play at the Picklr! How can you be a smaller facility with less incentives and charge more??! I can't wait to see the HRPC be a great indoor facility, but with the way they are running it now, I don't see that happening. I'm not the only one that thinks this either, it's all any one can say about it so far. "It's nice to have a indoor facility down here, but I'm just going to drive the same distance to the Picklr." Mike and Kristen, the owners, are nice. I just question the business model. I wait for the day I can take this review down and go to a realistically priced and better HRPC.

Hampton Roads Pickleball Club is such a fun place to play pickleball. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We plan on using their party rooms to host a few birthday parties for our children this winter. Great location!

We visited this place today for the first time. I️ am visiting from out of state (we come several times a year to visit family). They initially came up on my TikTok so my brother in law & I️ decided to go try it out. The venue itself is very well handled. Everything was clean, it felt safe (I️ also had my 8 year old), and was overall incredibly enjoyable. We had a wonderful time with minimal issues. However, my only complaint is that you have to do everything on the app. You can’t just go in, pay for pickleball and play. I’m from out of state, I️ don’t need or want your app. I️ don’t want an account. It shouldn’t have taken nearly 20 minutes to get signed in and pay the fee. They also listed my brother in law as my spouse, probably because we didn’t want a second unnecessary account. Hopefully that part is fixed soon or we will not return personally, it’s incredibly frustrating. Maybe I’m just being too much of a boomer (I’m in my 20s), but I️ do not need or want an account for everything, especially not being a local.

The new indoor pickleball facility is awesome! The pickleball courts are really nice & the staff was very welcoming. Today was our first visit & we can’t wait to go again.
