⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5 I visited Yesler Park with my toddler and overall, we had a great experience! I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because the splash pad is a total win—perfect for hot summer days. My daughter had the best time running around, and there were other kiddos there which made it even more fun for her. The playground itself is definitely geared more toward older kids, maybe ages 5 and up. There are a couple smaller structures toddlers can explore, but I wouldn’t say it’s fully toddler-friendly. Still, the splash area definitely makes up for that! There are picnic tables and plenty of open space to sit and eat or relax. There’s also a community center right next to the park, though it was closed when we came by on a Sunday. The park has trash bins and bathrooms, and while most of it was pretty clean, there was a bit of litter near the play structures. That part was disappointing—it’s always sad when people don’t clean up after themselves. That said, the vibe was calm and quiet, and the location is super convenient—close to public transportation, including bus and train access. All in all, great spot for a casual family outing, especially if you have little ones who love water play!
The community center feeding the kids/community today for the holidays, really touched my heart .. keep up the good work! It’s all about the youth having positive role models, along with a safe space to enjoy their sports, and other little community center activities .. I feel as though Yesler is going in the right direction; if the staff can start some type of skills training/internship for example barber or plumbing this place would be magnificent.. I really hope they implement a program soon .. but other than that this is a great place.
Large space with indoor basketball area. Public washrooms and single occupancy shower/toilet options. Vending machines, filtered water fountain with water bottle filling options. Computer lab. Great park!! Splash park in the summer. Wonderful view of the city from atop Yesler way.
Great community center. It is a bright, welcoming place. Restrooms are clean. The surrounding splash park and play area looks like good fun for kids. There is a lot of construction happening nearby.
New playground is fantastic. Multiple structures for all ages. Lots of slides, ropes, and hills! Public family restroom attached to the community center facing the playground. Beautiful views of downtown Seattle as well. Be aware it does get busy after 4pm on weekdays when all the after school programs get out, if you want or need to avoid crowds. For transportation, there is a First Hill Streetcar stop and a bus stop directly in front of the community center, and a small parking lot hidden at the south end of the center.
