Wolverine Pickleball

I hosted a girls night here with a few other friends. We rented our own court so we could play at our speed. We had our own little corner and so much fun for a few hours. When we split the rental cost, it was pretty comparable to a different activity elsewhere. We will definitely be going back!

The owners of this place CARE about how people are treated. Evan was great on the phone. I don’t think this will be a problem again. This morning I posted this: Called to get into an open play group. I registered a year ago to play with some friends. Rated myself as a 3.0 player. I’m pretty sure I’m at least a 3.5 but they wouldn’t let me play in a 3.25-3.5 group. Wouldn’t change my rating so not happy. I’ll play where it’s more inviting. Been playing for 4 years now…so yea I’m a 3.5! Love this pickleball rating system. Remember when we all just started…and it was FUN! Had a feeling I’d get a call on this. Thanks Evan (I think owner). He contacted me was very apologetic and will make this right. So I changed the 1 star to 5. I believe him.

Goat yoga here was epic. The Let’s Goat crew even took lots of pictures and shared them with us afterwards. So much fun! Would definitely go back!

Took the intro to pickleball course through UofM. Our instructors Laurie and Keri were fantastic and broke down the rules in easy increments combined with lots of play time. The entire group was kind and generous in learning the sport along with us. The facility is beautiful and we definitely want to come back w friends a play and try the beer taps.

I immediately fell in love with this game when my 23 year old son asked me to start playing 5 weeks ago after he played all summer. Being able to play with him, full out, and not feeling my age is a limitation, has been THE most unexpected and fun one on one time with him in my entire life!! I had a dilemma though, after an assessment of 4 weeks ago, I felt I was ready for a slight increase in my rating because the lowest bracket felt too easy (due to a lot of time in drills, practice and playing with my son since my first assessment) and explained it to one of the owners, Leslie. She spent some AMAZING one on one time with me the other day! She dropped everything she was doing in that moment and decided to observe my play with a group in the next bracket up. After two games, she decided to be MY playing partner for 4 games and offered SAGE advice coaching on court positioning and strategy, and it was truly AMAZING and she made it FUN!! I offered her compensation for her time, and she refused, because she felt it was a small gesture on her part, but it meant 10 times more to me given my dilemma. I will never forget the advice she provided, and more importantly, the sincerity of her gesture, and what it meant to me. It speaks volumes to her character and I'm EXTREMELY grateful for it. In this day and age, getting that kind of personal attention from an owner is UNHEARD of (let alone being able to even talk to one). Being a 26 year business owner myself, I was moved by her gesture and it is precisely the type of customer service I provide to my clientele. However, I find it is SO RARE in this day and age. It's obvious to me that what she is building is a CULTURE and community of like-minded, kind, sincere and genuine people; NOT just a Pickleball Business that generates revenue. The LEAST I could do is to spend my time telling everyone about who she is and what I believe she stands for. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, Patrick Dyke
