West Coast Pickleball - Yorba Linda

We had a reservation for Court 5 and when our reservation ended, it should’ve been opened for open play. The manager Giovanni closed the court then only opened it for single play. Several people had been waiting for a while and asked if Court 5 could be opened up for doubles play. Giovanni said no because it’s his decision & that there is plenty of space. They appealed again and all he said was sorry about that in a sarcastic way. I don’t know if he was losing his pickleball games tonight or was just on a power trip…but regardless of what he is going through, that is just downright mean & messed up to those who paid $20 for open play. It doesn’t make sense to only open a court for singles when there are so many people waiting to play doubles. The disrespect I witnessed is unacceptable. I will not be coming back to play here again until management changes. Please see video & pictures for proof. Update: he opened Court 5 for doubles at 11:40pm but did it in a weird way saying nvm then opened it again for doubles. People were confused about what happened but it’s nice that more people can play now…

Been going to West Coast for over a year now. By far my favorite court with large court space, great time slots, good players and amazing service from the staff. Shoutouts to Giovanni today for going the extra mile. I left my jacket here after closing and he came back to help me get it. Saved me from freezing tonight. Always a good vibe talking to this guy and he really takes care of us when we’re there. Don’t hesitate to book and play at West Coast. I play all over OC, but I find myself coming back here every week.

Was here 1/1/2026 and we signed up for the two hour session. Our time just finished and the manager would not let us finish our game even though there was no one next on top of that people with open play wanted to use the court and Giovanni the manager wouldn’t let them he simply just kept saying just because I said so, even though there was a huge line for open play.

I absolutely love West Coast! The concierge team is incredibly responsive and always helps me find a solution quickly (booking courts and reservations). The space is great and has plenty of room for small groups. I’ve hosted a couple of work parties here, and each one turned out really well. The app is also super easy to use, and I’ve had zero issues with bookings or reservations. The facility is always clean and well maintained, which makes every visit enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!

This is my second time here and it was a terrible experience with management. The manager, Giovanni, was unreasonable, and was on a power trip. When the court that we reserved was supposed to be open play, rather than letting people who have been waiting for 30-40 minutes playing the court, he decided to close the court down initially, then open it up for singles only. When people who have been waiting went up to him and asked to be allowed to play doubles, he denied them, with the reasoning that it was his choice and that they can continue to wait. We saw about 12-15 ppl waiting for open play and talked to them, and we were told that some of them only played one time in a one hour period. Someone who plays here regularly said that he is normally chill, but he seems to be having a bad day because he had been losing in his games playing pickle ball. Honestly, it doesn’t matter why he is having a bad day. It is not OK for him to take out his anger on paying customers who have been waiting to play. It is not OK for him to exercise his power as manager to make arbitrary decisions because of the mood he is in. Pickleball supposed to be a chill community and environment, and his punitive and power-hungry behavior is not the vibe that I feel comfortable with. I had considered getting a membership here for my dad, but because of Giovanni’s unprofessional behavior, I don’t see myself coming back here nor getting my dad a membership and will probably wait for the other indoor pickleball facility to open instead.
