Washington Activity Center

In phoenix we have many community activity centers. Many of them are for senior citizens only; however, the one in Washington park a jewel!! and open to the public. This center has a well equipped gym!! you join for $20.00 membership for a year! $30.00 for 6 month to use the gym...that is a SUPER BARGAIN (especially during the Summer months) BEAUTIFUL settings, super clean and beautiful neighborhood across the famous Phoenix Tennis center. It is worth it!!! you don't have to be a senior citizen! and you can use any other in Phoenix!! :) :)

We had a great time on our folk dancing festival this year at this facility.

I paid my money and showed up at 9 30 when they are supposed to be open at 7 on Mondays. The door was locked and the lady who was in there just stared at me as I knocked looking for some form of explanation of why they are not open and to make it bad it's my first time going so the first impression is horrible.

Helpful staff! They have a super fun free program for teens 13 to 17 I definitely recommend checking it out if you have children that are bored LOL

If you have ever wished you could draw, try the drawing class at Washington Park. I'm a stick figure kind of non-artist, but I've learned a LOT and learn something new which each class!
