Warner Center Pickleball

Just over a year ago I found my way to the Warner Center Pickleball Club. I was looking to get in shape and was hoping to find an activity that I would enjoy and could continue for many years to come. I walked onto the pickleball courts for an introductory to pickleball class I had signed up for. I was met by Leslie, our coach and also later to find out the owner of the club. By the time the class was over I knew I was forever hooked on the sport. From that 1st day until today, I continue to play at the most amazing club in the valley. The members are kind, warm, friendly, inviting. To sum it up, it’s Leslie, the members and the amazing facility that Leslie has build that make Warner Center Pickleball Club what it is. It is a one of a kind location and atmosphere. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a new sport, try it and more so try Warner Center Pickleball Club. I promise if you start your journey there, it will become home.
Pickleball has become an “overnight success”. But, a lot of facilities are still poorly run with limited curated options and oversight. My son and I were shocked when we found Warner Center. Nice people. Constant play. And, Leslie. She really is the glue at Warner Pickleball. For beginners, intermediate and advanced players there is something for everyone at Warner. The community keeps growing and the games keep getting better. Cant’t wait to see what she does next.
Shout out to Warner Center Pickleball for being my home away from home. Earlier this year, in February, I started attending Guided Play and Open Play at Warner Center Pickleball. At the time, I didn’t know much about the game. I’d taken a couple of beginners classes somewhere else and was looking for a place a little closer to home. Even during my first guided session, the coaches took a very supportive approach and showed an interest in helping me get better — me, someone who was a complete stranger and outsider to the group. Now, five months later, I take the elevator upstairs (it’s on the top floor of a parking garage) and everyone — players, coaches, family members showing up for support — all greet me with smiles and always make me feel so welcome to be there. It is a wonderful environment and such a welcoming community for people of all skill levels. I’ve since been to a ton of other pickleball places, just to get a feel for how other places are, and you just don’t get that level of community that you find at Warner. During Guided Play, I’ve gotten to work with coaches like Julie, Geoff, DJ, Fritz, Tim, and Glenn. They all have their own unique experiences and own ways of guiding people, and there’s a coach there for people at every stage of their pickleball game. They are all great, and the reality is they genuinely care about helping people. About a month ago, I started taking lessons with Glenn, and he has really helped me focus on areas that were preventing me from “leveling up” (as a video gamer, I had to slip this in somewhere). I’ve noticed a huge difference in how I play pickleball already (even though I’m still definitely working on things), and I owe it in major part to the classes I’ve had with him. While using the pickleball “Erne” machine, Glenn’s been reinforcing the correct way to hold the paddle, hit a ball, stand, and play a smarter game. He’s probably the nicest guy ever, and he really has a lot of patience and provides a lot of encouragement to everyone. So, if you’re looking for a place to play pickleball in the LA area, you should definitely check this place out.
I was in town for 2 weeks and wanted to play pickleball and introduce the game to some friends. This is a pickleball haven. The courts are incredible and everything is so well organized. For complete newbies I highly recommend checking out their intro classes on wed nights or Saturday morning!!! I was also able to set up a private group class for the 6 of us with one of their coaches, Julie. It was the perfect intro to pickleball!!! The guided play is also great for those of us intimidated by open play. Cannot recommend this place enough!!
I drank the pickleball Kool-Aid about 5 months ago and have been obsessed ever since, 4th paddle, 3rd pair of pb shoes, need I say more...:) However the one thing I have not changed is where it all started. Big shout out to Leslie and all the coaches @Warner Center pickleball. From my very first day at Warner Center pickleball, Leslie, the coaches and members were beyond welcoming and patient with my "banger" :) ways while I learned the essence of the game Special shout out to coaches Glen, Jeff, DJ, JR, Fritz and Julie. Ty all! Love all the events, tournaments and Rround Robins. They always do fun things for the holidays and special occasions If you're looking for a great place to play in the SF Valley on very well maintained true pickleball courts definitely check out Warner Center pickleball and their coaching staff. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
