UCF Recreation and Wellness Center

We were impressed by the variety of equipment available, the openess of the space, the walking/jogging/running loop, the rock climbing wall, and the outdoor pool. All free to UCF students as per our tour guide, which is great.

The facility is super nice. Check in area and policies needs a lot of work! First, it shouldn't take that long.... Second, if you tell one person they can't bring in a drink, you better tell everyone they can't bring in a drink! I had a drink from the Chick-fil-A next door and was told I wasn't allowed to bring it in. The next 10 people, I kid you not, we're all let in with drinks! Same type of drink I had! Not acceptable...

The staff is on a power trip, and they create the silliest rules ever in a public gym. And trying to reason with them is pointless, because I suppose wearing cargo pants on a non-leg day is truly a safety hazard. Apparently only certain pants can be worn which is ridiculous. They will kick you out and its stupid being that we pay for this gym as part of our tuition. I can understand the open drink policy as it can be spilled and someone may fall, but wearing cargos on a chest day is insane. Lame staff.

Very crowded gym and UNPROFESSIONAL staff. They just randomly tell you that you cannot move chairs, you cannot stand on plates, out of very interesting reason---my body weight can damage the plate. LOL... When trying to argue, their response is simple. "I am the LAW"

BEST PLACE ON CAMPUS. The rwc is without a doubt the best spot on campus for all of the variety of things they have in there. From working out to playing sports to studying to everything. I play volleyball at the outside beach courts and the quality of the courts are PRISTINE. Amazing place to play beach vb.
