Weather forecast for today (TUE 2025.06.24) .. very hot with the temperature approaching the record of 102 set in 1930; .. To avoid the scorching heat, ~05:50 i arrived at the Tuckaseegee Recreation Center; parked my vehicle, then quickly went for mu early morning ~6.5 mi walk; Loop: Tuckaseegee Rd, Freedom Dr, and Toddville Rd. Except for the area around the junction of Queen City Drive & Mulberry Church Rd, the other neighborhoods, including Tuckaseegee Rec Center and its surroundings were generally clean and free of litter.
My boys and I just stopped by to enjoy the weather and being outside. Our group was separated from others but some young boys came around our side with an intimidating manner, staring down my group. I felt it was unsafe and we left. Obviously I wouldn't drop by that park again. It was totally unnecessary behavior
We absolutely love this place. Coaches are amazing. They really work with these kids and help them get the foundation of all the sports they are playing. If your child pay attention just to some, they will come out with a lot more knowledge. Love love, love everything this rec offers, and the amazing people that work here.
My daughter has been going here for the last two years for Summer Camp and has a good time. The staff are friendly and helpful. I wish there was more parking toward the front especially during basketball games when closer spots to the door are hard to find.
Great atmosphere & fellowship with Senior Basketball on Monday’s & Wednesday! Worth checking out!
