Truxtun Tennis and Pickleball Courts

Go after it rains and you'll see how uneven the courts are, collecting swimming pools worth of water that takes a long time to dry out. Whoever from the city/county is managing the contractors who repaved the courts likely knows very little about what makes a good tennis court. That said, it's nice that four of the courts have lights that will stay on until 10pm (wish it was later, especially on the weekends and during the hour summers). The pickleball courts are slated to get lights in 2025.
Plenty of pickleball courts available between the permanent courts and the temporary courts. Parking can get a little tight on busy days, but you can easily park further down the street even on the busiest days.
Renovation is complete, all of the courts are now open. This is a spectacular public facility with 8 full-time tennis courts (4 lighted for night play), 6 dedicated pickleball courts, and two tennis / four pickleball hybrid courts (bring portable pickleball nets). There is ample shaded space to hang out when not playing. Open play sessions, tournaments, ladders, etc. are coordinated by the Annapolis Pickleball Club and Anne Arundel County Tennis Association. You won't find a better place to play either sport at an outdoor public facility. The court surfaces are brand new and in top condition. There are a couple of issues. #1 parking is at a premium now, toilet facilities consist of a single porta-potty.
6 permanent pickleball courts and another 8 mixed courts. Lots of Annapolis Pickleball Club members play here. Very friendly group. Would be even better if the pickleball courts had lights.
Quarts are in horrible condition and have been for years. These were supposed to be resurfaced last year and for whatever reason they were not. Hopeful that they get done this year has there heavily used, but have well exceeded their life expectancy
