Tarboro Road Community Center

Such a pleasant place! Wonderful warm staff, clean restroom if dated, big gym and an enthusiastic instructor for my line dance class! Lovely gardens out front. Handicapped parking available. Unfortunately the front door doesn't have a push button for handicapped accessiblility. However, I learned that sonetime in the next two years this building will be demolished and totally rebuilt.

Someone said hey let’s go to the center. They play volleyball on Monday. I was like oh I like volleyball. It’s been a long time since I played……. It’s been a long time since I played lol

I love coming here for the best line dance class and the staff is super nice!!!!!

Great staff! Fun for pickleball.

Nice classes, one shower. Nice ceiling fan in large gym. Small room, about 1/3 the size of a gym, is TOO HOT AND HUMID! I can’t handle taking a class in there. The fan they have on the floor in the corner is way too loud to use! Useless! I asked staff last week if they could please buy one or two fans that are on a stand, and oscillating, like the Five Points Active Adults Center has, and I told them that Walmart sells them for only $40! But they said no, no money for that. I wish they would pass the request on to their supervisor but they said it wouldn’t do any good. 😔
