Park is within the city ... all activities are walkable , carousel to the view of the falls is only a short distance , you can walk around to view or better yet ride the cable for a better experience of the fall , science center , shopping malls and restaurants are all nearby , plenty of parking too .. hourly parking we paid 7 dollars for three hours, just enough the explore
A city of Spokane employee not only trespassed on my property without even trying the door bell. He stole my hand tools from the side of my house. Have him on video. City doesn’t care.
I was disc golfing at high bridge golf course 6-22-2024. Was completely disgusted by the amount of human fecal remains smell and physically evidence within 5 feet of the disc baskets.
Just had my daughters birthday party at the Southside Aquatic center, which was great. However, I had to schedule it through the parks department. I double checked TWICE with 2 different people there that I didn't need to pay in advance for all the guests. They specifically told me to aim low on guests because they don't like to do refunds. so I said 15 instead of the 30 that it was going to be, and I happily would've paid for. They told me I could add the extra guests at the aquatic center. got to the aquatic center and they told me that wasn't possible, it had to be paid through parks office in advance. So I was crying at the pool party trying to figure how to pay for my daughters guests and their food separately as they showed up so they wouldn't have to pay to come to a birthday party. luckily Southside aquatic center figured it out so it worked out, but the stress and embarrassment it caused me was ridiculous, all because the parks office didn't know what they were talking about. Wish I'd spent that $450 at chuck e cheese instead.
Spokane Parks are absolutely gorgeous! From the spacious, well designed Riverfront Park (the original location of the "Expo '74" World's Fair celebrating concern for the environment, Spokane has demonstrated its deep and abiding commitment to having wonderful and well groomed public parks. Manito Park is another truly world class Park with everything from the incredible Duncan Gardens, with ornate flower beds and fountains, to the Japanese Garden celebrating our "sister city" in Japan, the revitalized duck pond, the "Park Bench" snack bar with frequent volunteer music offerings, well designed children's play areas and much beloved sledding hills in the winter, along with the seasonal drive-thru Christmas light show. Comstock Park is also a wonderful community resouce with newly refinished tennis and pickleball courts, as well as the aquatic center, and Summer concerts in the park are lovely! Spokane's parks are second to none. So much to enjoy! Go have some fresh air fun!
