Reading Recreation Commission

I am very disappointed in the direction of the Schlegal Pool Summer Program staff. I am a single parent fully aware of my child's social issues, but In stead of staff trying to help and address the situation, my son was constantly teased by other children, and even some of the staff. Although I was informed that many of the staff consists of college graduates and teachers, if that were true with education as such, it is hard to believe they are not capable of handling a boy who bears the simple problem of making friends. They simply lack the education and knowledge of descalating a peer situation. Therefore the blame falls on the minor and he was asked to leave the program I paid for, 2 weeks early. I asked if he could be switched to another playground program for the remainder of the summer and I was informed with out a second thought, absolutely not. Not every child is going to posess the perfect personality and character that you prefer. If you're an adult who is capable of feeling dislike or animosity towards a child, you're in the wrong line of work and I am sorry for you.

Super fun, took my little one to play hockey Sundays from 10am to noon.

Great staff, great things to do, I went in and I wasn't from the area, and I found so much that my kids can do, from the staff there, they took the time out, plus they ready love helping people, feom and not from there area🤗
