Ranch Motel & Leisure Club

Very cool vibe here, it's an old cement motel that's been updated with hipster/ retro furniture (pacman in the room, MCM furniture, colors etc.) We stayed in a Suite so there was a bedroom with bathroom and a living room with a bathroom (dividing door removed to join 2 rooms). The living room had a low Mid-century couch, arms chair, desk and video game machine. The TV was on a wheeled cart so it could be in either room, smart TV so you can connect your accounts and watch whatever. Bathrooms are shower only, no counters just a pedestal style sink, and the update skimped on redoing the old blue/pink tiles and just painted them so the peeling look is really the only thing that wasn't great. At least the hot water is fantastic. The amenities were great, the pool was heated to bathtub temperature so a winter swim was quite pleasant. Theres not coffee or such in the room but a daily coffee truck on site offers free drip that is soooo good. Better than a keurig x10. Location for a family was wonderful, next to Doseum, Zoo, Bontanical Gardens. 8 minute drive to Riverwalk. Next door to Shake shack and a park. Ideal location. Easy parking. Would definitely stay here again.

This property’s branding and online presence suggest a stylish, boutique experience, but unfortunately the actual stay didn’t live up to that image. While the landscaping has been refreshed, the rooms themselves still feel very much like an old dingy motel. The shower was small, did not get hot, and had no water pressure so it seemed to just drip heavy cold puddles. Our room was also extremely small, with chipping paint and rusted windowsills that were hard to ignore. There was also no TV, mini fridge or microwave, which may be intentional, but paired with the lack of comfort or thoughtful design, it felt more like cost-cutting than a curated experience. As someone who works in the construction and renovation industry, I was truly shocked at the condition of these rooms - especially considering this line is backed by Hyatt. The parking lot in front of the motel was not lit, and there was a lot of homeless folks walking in and around, so I suggest bringing everything in your room with you and taking extra precautions if you’re traveling alone. This stay felt overpriced, undersold, and I was frankly embarrassed when my fiance and I walked into the room. The Hyatt affiliation raises expectations that simply weren’t met here. I wouldn’t recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to the property.

To be fair I didn’t stay there but our close friends did. Place is def a vibe. Comfy beds, clean property. Kinda hipster. Great amenities - heated pool, well lit pickleball courts. Nice plants. Kids enjoyed and we def built some memories visiting our friends there.

This was a motel with a vibe. Keep in mind it’s still very much a motel. The room is meh, but clean. No hot water this morning. No tv in the room and the toilet paper is one ply. The grounds are great, complete with a nice heated pool, very nice pickleball courts, a zero scape garden, food trucks, and a bar. They also allow dogs. The location is perfect, right near everything cool. The hotel staff are also very friendly, helpful, young and hip. The vibe here is very hipster and cool. If you are a fancy person who likes luxury this wouldn’t be the place for you. But if you are looking for a cool vibe and clean basic accommodations it’s perfect.

This place is amazing ! You can start the day with some pickleball, rent a bike for the day to stroll down Brackenridge park, then explore the area and end the day in the heated pool with some drinks from the bar. The rooms themselves were super clean, unique, and vintage. Only thing is there is no TV, but it was perfect anyway.
