I had a great time touring and using Preston Playhouse—what a hidden gem! The space is thoughtfully designed, welcoming, and perfect for a variety of activities or events. Everything was clean, well-organized, and had a creative, inspiring vibe. The management team was exceptional—professional, kind, and clearly passionate about what they’re building here. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’m already thinking about becoming a member so I can return more often. Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a unique, well-run space that supports community and creativity. Can’t wait to go back! Special shout out to Zack for all his help. Great staff too!

We’re new to the sport, and Preston Playhouse was the perfect place to dive in! The venue is well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere that made us feel instantly welcome. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful—which made a big difference for us as beginners. Their positive energy and support really added to the experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back and playing more often. This place made a great first impression, and we’re so glad we found it!

This will sound strange but I'm leaving four stars for a pickleball place I myself will not likely frequent. I love Preston Playhouse - it's a really cool rec center offering pickleball, padel and a bar to relax for work events and family/friend get-togethers. In DFW there are what I call "Pickleball Operations" and "Places That Offer Pickleball." Unfortunately where I am in the game, Preston Placehouse is more of a "Place That Offers Pickleball" - which isn't what I'm looking for but may be great for you. The courts are colorful and (mostly) in great shape and the spacing is pretty good. They have morning ($10) and evening ($15) open plays which isn't the most expensive in town but not the cheapest. The Open Plays are All Levels, so a bit of a gamble in terms of the quality of player you will find. Last night I found some really good ones but there weren't many. When I first went there there were more, but it seems like they may be choosing places like Pickler Universe and The Picklr. Preston Playhouse though is a fun atmosphere and great place to bring friends or your own group but it's not a pickleball community focused on ramping up competition or teaching skills and it doesn't try to be.

Dirty facility, spills and stains on floors all throughout. Open play doesn’t have different levels of play or a challenge court. Some courts have uneven concrete. Busy background and it’s loud…bad acoustics.
