This park is a beautiful place for pictures. It is well kept, good walking trail and dog friendly.
Very interesting art pieces inside the park, it was cool to explore them all.
Our 1st choice for family photos fell through and Prather Park was our second choice so I went to view the area. I visited this place mid June 2023 and it was a day or two after a huge thunderstorm came through. This is a very beautiful place. It has a community pool, playground, tennis courts, walking trails/sidewalks, bridges, and benches throughout the park. There is a creek that runs through it and the sound of the running water was very peaceful. The landscaping is done beautifully and there is ample shade throughout the grounds. There is even a tunnel to walk through. I gave it 4 stars because there was a lingering stench of sewage. Considering its location to Highland Park and University Park it was a little disappointing. Our family ended up taking family photos here the following week. Attached are photos I took on my phone.
Very beautiful park in the spring! I love the flowers blooming and the freshly trimmed grass! The weather was absolutely perfect. It was a sensational time to visit.
In my opinion, one of the most beautiful parks in the Dallas area. It's small, but the views of the creek and the walkways and bridges make up for what the park lacks in size. I love to take my dog for a walk here. It's great exercise, too, because of all the steps in the pathway.
