Northpark has my gym for my whole life. I love this place but it needs to be updated. The sauna and steam room constantly have issues and the pool is non existent. Northpark has a great community and nice staff!
I started at Northpark back in the good old days of Jim Snow where you felt like family. We rejoined a couple years ago after moving back to Spokane, but recently canceled membership due to poorly trained employees and disrespectful management. We tried three times to simply renew our annual membership and got the run around. Not impressed. Going somewhere else that values us as members. So sad.
We have a great pickleball community with open play every morning and free pickleball lessons twice a week. Come join us!
As tennis player this club has gone steadily downhill over the 4 years I have been a member. The lack of professionalism of getting the court cleaner ready while people are playing, to the reduction of tennis courts without addressing the noise of pickleball in an indoor environment is a complete lack of respect for the tennis playing members of the club. They try to make it up by saying we can play at the club in the valley, which I was already paying to use. There has been no real response to the many other players that have made similar comments. I understand the economics of fitting 16 pickleball players on a court that only has four players, but the continual decrease of service is disappointing. And after reading other recent reviews it appears that it isn’t limited to tennis, as other member reviews are regarding receiving lower levels of service as well.
I primarily utilize the club for pickleball. Facility is decent, though the lighting needs to be upgraded, temperature control addressed and the courts need to be cleaned more often. The biggest disappointment to me is that recently I had 2 out of state guest come by to practice with me prior to a local tournament. I told the club I would take care of their guest fees. I was shocked to see that my card was charged $25.00 plus for each guest for our 2 hour session. I'm a regular tournament player and have traveled the country playing many different clubs. I've never been charged over $15 for a guest fee and have played in many much nicer facilities. The amount is exorbitant and very unwelcoming to guests and a real put off for this member! .
