I happened upon this park because of the kite festival. It appears to be a great place to fly kites. I was there are about a week later, just to have a picnic and enjoy the sunshine away from the beach and appears that there are a variety of activities at this park including tennis, kids soccer practice, there’s a skate park, and plenty of area to walk around on trails or paved roads. Although rollerskating on these roads is not recommended considering the cracks and upheavals. I will definitely return to this park again.

This is a large park with athletic fields for baseball, and a large field for dogs to run around in (not a fully gated dog park, but you can let your dog off the leash if they wont run away). This is not my favorite park, but there is tons of green grass, some trees to sit under and enjoy the shade, and a few dogs to see here and there...not many. This is more of a place to get quiet time alone.

Nice area for walking, all paved and mostly flat. We started from Dog Beach and went about 3 miles before turning around to return to our starting point. It's nice to be at the coast in the summer months when the Temps are too hot inland. There was lots of open, free parking at 7 a.m. as a woman, I would not walk this alone though. There are several spots where you travel under overpasses, and in those areas it would be super easy to be grabbed and taken behind the concrete supports where no one would see you. And, there's a lot of traffic noise, which would make it difficult for screams to be heard. Other than that, we enjoyed our walk.

A beautiful place for a relaxing day or a run for the pups. Large area to walk around and no waves for the dogs. Lots of beautiful landscape and wildlife to photograph. The pups will thank you

The softball field dirt area was maintained, and it was really great for my ankles!! we enjoyed playing there and we appreciate all the upkeep. And it’s so lively down there. There’s so much going on.
