North Bellevue Community Center

It does provide a space where members of Bellevue community can gather, connect, and participate in enriching activities. The space work plays an important role in supporting the well-being of many different age groups. However, I would like to express a concern regarding how resources and space are being made available to different community groups. For example, individuals coming to play pickleball are often allowed to set up and use equipment freely, while others — including families with children — have been denied access to similar shared resources (such as toys) outside of designated program times. While the current first-come, first-served policy is fair in principle, if it include reasonable time limits — such as 1–2 hours per group — to help ensure more equitable access for all members of the community. This creates an impression of unequal treatment, which does not align with the values of equity, fairness, and inclusiveness that community centers are meant to uphold. As a publicly funded, community-centered space, the center and its staff represent more than just a facility — they reflect the values of local government, shared resources, and community service. We believe that all staff should be empowered and trained to demonstrate principles of equity, equality, and inclusive customer service, in line with the center’s mission to serve all members of the community. We hope this feedback supports future improvements in policy clarity, staff training, and equitable treatment across all user groups.
Hidden gem serving the north Bellevue community with ping pong, billiards, gym/weight room, bridge, dance, kids camps, marshall arts......but I come for the amazing indoor drop-in pickleball, Mon/Wed/Fri 3-5pm, all levels welcome! If you're a beginner, we'll teach you the basics.
Nice facility. The sign going north was covered up by tree overgrowth so it was hard to spot trying to get there my first time.
Amazing space to host community events. Kitchen and faucets are available to cook up a community meal. Bathrooms are okay-ish. The location is pretty central.
