New Tampa Recreational Center

This park is racist. My daughter tried to come to the park & do homework & she was turned around 3 times. She never come with a crowd of people she’s always alone. She even tried to come & watch my best friend daughter perform for her dance & once again turned around. She never had an issue at this park. She sent me pics of kids playing unattended coming from the school up the street from the park (witch she doesn’t attend) she actually goes to a private school. So I called & asked was it a public park & I was told YES. So why do my child continues to get turned around & get singled out when there are kids there playing with no parent & also coming from liberty & freedom. I was told that there’s no space for kids to do homework, but if it’s a public park why is it an issue with her doing homework? Then she switched it & said oh because I have kids here for dance that plays. Once again if she’s not causing an issue wats the problem with her doing homework especially when there are other kids there not doing anything. This situation really put my daughter & a bad place mentally all she can say is that people are really racist & I explain to her that it’s not her fault. I will NOT let this issue go it really hurt her feelings & for my daughter to cry about this disgusting situation I will be reaching out to lawyers so this will not happen again to another black kid

Fun playground with shade. Good staff fun skate park. My kidos have been going here over 10 years and I dont see us going anywhere else!

Skate park is open April 2024! The Ramps have good shape, the whole park has good flow, & the bowl is smooth!

A conveniently located place to let my dog run and socialize. All the owners are very friendly and come with dogs of all different breeds. After rainy days this place turns into a mud hole! Half the park is just dirt so my dog gets pretty filthy when we come here, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. If you want to go when there's lots of other dogs, Saturday mornings around 10 are prime! Weeknights about 30-60 minutes before sunset is also a popular time.

Wonderful climbing playground. Oddly, they use astroturf. Inside we met very pleasant and informative staff. The dance and gymnastics classes have long waiting lists.
