I’ve been hooping here for years cause this park is down the street and not once have I been treated with disrespect or felt uncomfortable working out here the staff are friendly besides one girl with glasses she’s just more quiet but still nice and respectful only thing I’d rlly say about this park that’s bad is how packed it can get during open gym runs but other then that I love going to this park anyone else who says other wise are lying because like I said I’ve been coming here for 8+ years consistently and not once had a problem 🤦🏻♂️
Great for basketball open gym. Their mini sports are also incredible. The pool and splash park are great as well. Overall, it's a place you can go every single week multiple times a week and never be bored.
I’m writing this as a deeply concerned parent. My 4-year-old daughter, who is Black, was treated unfairly by GABBY a staff member at this rec center. Not only were we met with an unwelcoming attitude, but inappropriate remarks were made regarding her race and as a result, she was excluded from participating in children’s sports. No child should ever be made to feel unwelcome or left out because of their race especially not at a community center that’s supposed to be safe, inclusive, and supportive. This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable, it’s harmful. I hope leadership sees this and takes immediate action to address the issue and make sure no other family experiences what we did.
Marty Robbins here in El Paso is a large park with swimming pool, playground, baseball fields, and a rec center with indoor basketball, weight room and misc activity rooms. It’s fun to go and play pool or take the kids to the playground! There’s city sponsored events as well so that’s great!
