My experienced: i did park at the parking lot down the playground. From the parking lot all around the cute little forest down back to where I parked was about 1.56miles. Inside of the park was so quite and exquisite scenery. It was relaxing walked. Maybe about two to three cars could park at the trailhead.
The place is fabulous and very beautiful. However, it is not safe, someone started shooting. I did not know that desultory fire is allowed within the city. The beginning of this incident was caught on the video.
This is an excellent park with a trail that meanders up the Taylor Creek canyon. There are several wooden bridges and steps. Trail is well maintained. There is a pullout for parking that can absorb about 4 cars. No facilities. Trail map at entrance. Beautiful views of the forested ravine.
Cute little play area and ball park, near a pizza place. The best part of the park (unless you have kids) is a hiking trail, accessible primarily from the neighborhood behind and on the hidden side. Both sides have very small parking areas. The portion with the playground, on Rainier Avenue, has the larger lot and can accommodate maybe 8 cars. The trails accessible from the neighborhood have a small pull off area that can accommodate maybe 3 or 4 cars.
Lakeridge is a heavily wooded park with a creek and a nice, moderate hiking trail. There is a great sense of peace and nature here, very calming. My only complaint is that there are no signs in the park so I don't know where to turn to take a loop (as seen on Google Maps) back to the trailhead. Fortunately the park isn't very big and there are only just a few intersections. I went into a dead end the first time but then I found my way back out.
