This location offers four pickleball courts with a decent amount of space and some shaded areas, which is appreciated. As newcomers to the sport, we were excited to try it out. However, our experience was impacted by the behavior of some of the regular players, primarily older individuals who seemed to dominate the courts. Unfortunately, we encountered several comments that felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For example, while we were learning the game, someone remarked, “Are you guys actually playing a game?” After explaining it was our first time, the response was, “Well, we’re actually playing a game, so.” Additionally, as we were leaving and picked up a ball for one of the players, we were told, “Could you wait until the point is over before walking across,” despite the fact that the point had just ended and the exit is directly in front of the courts. If you're looking for a court with a more inclusive and supportive environment for beginners, this may not be the ideal spot. Hopefully, with time and more awareness, the atmosphere can become more welcoming to players of all levels.
This place is unfriendly to tennis players. A group of older people are always playing pickleball here and tend to push out anyone who wants to play tennis. They act like they own the court. I didn’t know it was a pickleball priority day, one white guy started pointing fingers and talking behind my back. As soon as more pickleball players showed up, they tried to kick us off right away. I even helped them pick up balls and didn’t get a single thanks.
