Kemeny Recreation Center

The newly renovated Kemeny Park is absolutely magnificent! It’s truly a gem on the southwest side. The outdoor space is beautifully designed and thoughtfully planned—there’s something for everyone. From brand-new basketball courts and outdoor fitness equipment to a walking track, tennis courts, a soccer field, and a spacious play area for kids. There’s even a gazebo perfect for barbecues and family gatherings. The recreation center itself is just as impressive, offering programs like gymnastics, dance, bingo, and more. Whether you’re looking for a place to work out, play sports, relax, or connect with the community, Kemeny Park is the spot. So glad to see this space revitalized and thriving!

Lovely park located at the very edge of Southwest Detroit. It has many amenities for various sporting activities. Parking is ample, and the recreation center is very active. Would recommend.

I went kemeny center ,i hadn't been there since 2008 and it look great inside and out very clean i felt really good when I walk in ,the area has a good feel to it. The staff was nice everything just felt good if you haven't been there you need to go you will be pleasantly surprised.

Unprofessional on another level. Our group made sure to book their facility ahead of time and even called twice the day of to make sure we were still able to use the gym for volleyball. After driving 40 minutes, we were then told they gave the gym to another group 2 hours before. No one called us to let us know about the changes. A total of 18 people had to go home with the staff not even apologizing ones. They also conned us into getting their gym membership without telling us about the universal membership. Our group play in Patton and ABC and have never found any issues with them. Purchased a membership with Patton and I had to do it again for kemeny because the staff didn't tell me I could have just upgraded to universal which lets me use any of the gym in Detroit. ABC was kind enough to tell me that I should have just bought the universal pass. Their level of communication is atrocious this facility needs to be checked by the employers
