John Chavis Memorial Park

What a great park! There’s tons to do. This is my 2nd time visiting with my little one. We got the opportunity to ride the merry go round for only $2! They had a market out there and a couple food trucks when we went. The playground is amazing and versatile for all age groups. I’d recommend this playground to anyone. Parking is not always the best, but overall, great experience.

Very lovely establishment. I took my friends’ kid to the park. Clean, no trash. Nice atmosphere and safe environment.( Still watch your kids )It’s something nice to do for kids to get out of the house. The park is free. Even older kids can enjoy the indoor basketball not sure if it cost or not. There bathrooms wasn’t working when we went. Fyi. Overall would go back.

Very nice park with pretty good playground area for kids. Splash pad is decent but not that great, there are others which are pretty good than this splash pad. They have gym center, walking track and carousel as well but check on timings. Lot of parking on front and even on back right next to kids playground. Seems lot of summer activities as well if needed. Play area is in shade by evening which is good but still rides were hot. Lot of benches to sit, restrooms to use and overall a great place.

This park is great for kids. It features a splash pad, a playground with many slides, picnic areas with plenty of tables, an indoor basketball court, and a community center for fun activities. I believe there's also a gym inside. I wish there were more big trees around the splash pad for shade.

It's the best park I've ever been to in NC! Clean facilities, multiple play options, splashpad, lots of outdoor seating, outdoor workout area, indoor/outdoor track, indoor basketball court, and an assortment of classes/camps. There's also a merry go round ($2 to ride)!
