Enormous dog friendly park with bike trail access. Many people come for pickle ball, jogging, kite flying, kids play ground, soccer, baseball, tennis divvy bike rentals and a good walk. Located along the north branch of the Chicago River accompanied by a prairie path that is so beautiful.
My preferred park for meandering decompression walks with my dog. It’s well maintained and sufficiently large to have quite walk about just about anytime. This park is super fun for my dogo. The best times for me are at dusk and at dawn. Sunrise and sunsets can be epic here. There’s river and trail on the east, a molehill on the north- both nice spots to catch the sun do its thang.
Astonishing so few people know about this place. Huge open space, beautifully quiet, great sports amenities, dog friendly, and walking distance to Lincoln Square (cute place to grab a bite). One of Chicago’s hidden gems for green spaces.
Horner Park is such a peaceful and beautiful place to spend a day outdoors. The open green spaces are perfect for walking, playing sports, or just relaxing under the trees. It’s well-maintained, clean, and has a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The park also has a nice playground and plenty of space for family picnics or weekend gatherings.
