Great park for kiddos and also other recreational sports such as basketball and baseball/softball, and beach volleyball court.
I'm a walker.... No matter what job I have, one of the most important factors I look for (other than salary lol) is where can I walk on my breaks and on my lunch. So when I googled and found this park about 5 mins away from my job, I was delighted! This park is tucked behind the woods kinda, but not hidden. There's usually ppl there so it feels safe, plus it's wide open so you can see everything outside of when you go into the trails of course. It's usually very quiet even when they're kids there, quaint and they do a great job of keeping it clean. You can sit in your car and eat, take a nap or sit outside, then take a walk which is what I normally do. I also took my rollerskates out there one day & skated in the bball court. The only time it gets a bit rowdy is when the baseball season stars and the kids league starts, not so quiet then, but still a great park esp if you work in the area and an avid walker & very active like me! :)
Super cool playground! My son always enjoys playing here abs running all around in between the two playgrounds. The main playground has that awesome triple slide that a few other playgrounds have. Has a half dozen different creative ways to climb up to the higher level. There’s a picnic shelter, sand beach volleyball court, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a paved trail through the woods. Really enjoyable park!
Located less than ten minutes from Lafayette Village and one of the best coffee shops, Jubala! This park doesn’t offer much shade, but there are bathrooms, picnic benches with shelter, two toddler swings, and separate playground for older and younger children with a wood chip turf. Both sets are close enough to keep an eye on older siblings while attending to younger siblings. There are signs on the equipment that show this is an aged playground and facilities, but my children still had a great time.
It's a really wonderful park but there is zero shade. There is a shady walking trail though. If it gets too hot for the kids, we take a walk.
