I remember when I first came here a year ago there were barely any games it’s was fun everyday with my friends after school we would go to play soccer but then the days came that there were football but not even once a month now it’s just games everyday can’t play without them kicking us out Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday there’s always something that happens I just wish they had a website to see when they don’t have anything it’s not even a park anymore it’s just a stadium basically
Pulled up into the parking lot. It's very dirty, parking lots needs to be replaced and painted. Next to it is the Hagginwood Community center. This park has a play found in the shade which is great. We came here for a flag football practice. The field for it is turf and it's gated in. But all over the park it's had lots of trash and cars seem to just drive in the park/grass area.
If you want to play bring a trash bag and a trash grabber. You might to bring your pressure washer too because god only knows what has been melted and encrusted onto this play structure. It really sucks that the only shaded play structure remotely near my home is littered with trash, blunt roaches, melted debris etc all over the playground. The neighborhood is already questionable they should try and take pride in what they provide for the children within it. Makes me so mad. Also there are spider webs all under the structure and on top so when my lo tried to climb up the structure he put his hand right into one of those webs and a spider crawled out. Thankfully I grabbed him up before he got bit. But this park would be beautiful and honestly great and for the smaller children if they just took care of it and people weren’t absolutely disgusting. This park looks Farley new and there’s holes burned into the plastic spinning toy and the big slide. I just want to find a park with a playground that is shaded just like this one, but taken care of and somewhat safe for my baby to play in!
I went there on an unexpected time.I wanted a nice quiet spot to pass time with my boyfriend, when I got there was a vehicle that pulled a barbecue truck. They were there to feed the park.People in the park got an unexpected surprise.
The park features a recently renovated all-weather synthetic turf field, which was updated in 2023 with new shock padding and cork filler to reduce field temperatures by up to 20°F . This field is lined for both soccer and flag football, accommodating various sports activities. Additionally, there is a baseball field and a basketball court available for use. Hagginwood Park stands out as a well-maintained and versatile community space in North Sacramento. Whether you're looking to engage in sports, enjoy a family picnic, or participate in community programs, the park provides a welcoming environment for all. Its recent upgrades and diverse amenities make it a valuable asset to the neighborhood.
