Gunnell Oval

Big and clean park with lots of facilities like fitness area, tennis courts, basketball courts and more. It’s a great to spend outdoors with the family! Free parking all around the perimeter of the park. The playground is large and baseball themed with lots of cool features! The only con on really hot days would be that there is no shade or trees that help to cool down the area. There is a picnic area right outside the playground that is covered. The bathrooms are clean.

The park has plenty of space to play sports like basketball, football, clean restrooms nearby. The only little but very important detail is during the hottest days being in the playground with the kids it’s difficult to tolerate since there is not shade in the playground for the kids, no trees which makes even hotter the ground where you can easily feel the steam under your feet during the highest temperatures. There is an area where to sit and eat with big roof but it’s outside the playground. It would have been very nice a splash area designated for the kids near the playground to cool off.

This sports complex (and park) is beautiful and clean. It has free parking all throughout the perimeter of the complex. Bathrooms for family, men, women on location aswell (not sure if they are open all the time, however the women's bathroom was open yesterday). Overall, a very nice renovated area with a picture perfect view of lower Manhattan as you drive/walk through the entrance. Worth the visit if you are in the area👍

Honestly this is one of the Best park in Kearny area for kids. This park contains 9 big fields you can play football, basketball, baseball, skateboard. For toddlers they have separate play area. Park is clean and very well maintained. You can use big fields but you will have to take permission before from authorities (as per notice board). They also have shades and benches kids can have their meal here. public washrooms are clean. Update : free Wi-Fi is also available Some time you can also find ice-cream truck roaming in this area. Enough parking for 50+cars may be more.

Great park nice and clean. Much to do and explore. Soccer field, baseball field, soft ball field, basketball court, skating park, tennis court, volley ball court, cages for 1 to 1, playground for little ones, plenty of parking circling the whole property.
