Grandview Park

People need to keep the balls and pets out of the spray park. There are dogs pooping in the water, and teens kicking soccer balls to each other in the spray park hitting kids in the heads. Police said that if someone breaks the rules it's a civil matter, like hitting a small child with a soccer ball on the head in a "no balls allowed" area. Now you know the untold rules in a public space.

Grandview Park swimming pool in Central El Paso has been closed for 4 years with no updates from the city, this area is low income and I don’t believe it’s fair for the children and families in this neighborhood. The only “updates” its had is the rec center next door has an upgraded basketball court and a small gym added recently this year. Meanwhile, The Best Urban Park in far east El Paso has plans to upgrade the already beautiful recreation center by another $7 million dollars!! How is that fair? The city closed down one pool for 4 years and decide to upgrade another already brand new rec center some more!? I’ve attached pictures I took of the Grandview swimming pool along with posts from the El Paso Parks and Recreation Facebook where they state how The Beast Urban Park is getting even more updates. This is not fair and we deserve an UPDATE from the city!!!

Great place to take your kiddos, absolutely loved it!

Not a lot of shade, maybe three benches to sit on with no cover. Splash pad gets very crowded and some of it wasn’t even working despite it being opening weekend. Pool is under construction and currently closed. No bathrooms. Park is not within walking distance of splash pad with toddlers. Very uneven grass and bleachers directly behind the splash pad. In summary, not the most toddler friendly splash pad

Spray park was clean. Alot of kiddos having fun. Will be taking my granddaughter again.
