There are 4 pickleball courts and 2 tennis courts. The pickleball courts aren't bad but have some cracks in the surface. There is no fencing between the courts, but a tennis net stops balls from going between the opposing courts. I showed up most mornings at 7am, and most people start showing up about 7:30-8am. They have a paddle system with 4 on and 4 off, unless all the courts aren't busy. There are plenty of players by 9am, mostly intermediate but some advanced. If you get there late the parking lot could be full.
If you stop by the Arizona Falls to see some history of the Arizona Canals, make sure you pack a lunch and enjoy GR Herberger Park which is connected to the Falls. The parking is to the west of the park and I always find a place to park. There are ramadas, tennis courts, volley ball, and lots of green grass to play on. There are restrooms. Arizona Falls is just to the east and you can walk the banks of the canal to enjoy the view or read about the history of the canals. This is a wheelchair friendly site!
It's an oasis in the middle of the desert 🏜️... Phoenix! I loved the sound of the water, the peacefulness of the place!!! Come and enjoy simplicity 👍🏼👍🏼🤩
A cool little spot you would miss from the street with a waterfall feature and nice little park area. I love this spot, check it out.
Nice public courts just not very well maintained. Could use new lighting and the courts need to be resurfaced.
