San Francisco may be petite in size, yet it boasts an exceptional park and recreational system. While not all green spaces are created equal, Garfield Park stands out as a lush corner of the Mission district and a highly desirable haven for residents seeking outdoor leisure. The park's top-notch athletic facilities, complete with a public indoor swimming pool, upgraded playgrounds, and BBQ picnic areas, make it a standout destination. Moreover, Garfield Park serves as the central meeting point for the Dia De Los Muertos event. Once the parade wraps up, throngs of visitors flock to the park to marvel at the impressive displays honoring lost loved ones. In short, Garfield Park is a San Francisco gem that cannot be missed.
It’s a great neighborhood park however, the bathrooms are a bit I would not recommend anyone going in there so while me and my siblings were playing basketball, we witness one of the transient drunken man who solicit around the park physically washed their private parts in the women sink in the women’s restroom
We visit for the family swim sessions and have been impressed by the facilities and the friendly and helpful staff. It's great to have this place as a part of the community!
