I have spent many times at this park with my daughter. It’s smaller than other kid parks in the city buts perfect for us. No long waits to use anything on offer. It’s easy for parents to play with their kid or let them roam and watch from a bench. You can easily monitor your kid and how they interact with others. There are no restrooms 🚽 so that can be a down side but it’s close to Rice Village, Rice University, and other places you could use a bathroom. The picking area is nice. I have seen a few people host parties for their little ones there. It looks like a good spot for that.
Great little park. One of the jungle gym structures was closed off for renovations. Still had a larger one as well as plenty of swings and a big slide.
Nice park. Secluded and quiet. 2 hour street parking directly adjacent to the park. Permit parking only in the surrounding neighborhood. There’s two tennis courts, two basketball courts (half-courts), playground. Lots of benches and concrete picnic tables.
We really like this park! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars because it does not have fences so if your toddler or child like to wonder away might need to keep a closer eye on them. Otherwise has a nice playground and beautiful oak trees
Love it. Nice and quiet. Just a lot of mosquitoes because it was wet outside 😩
