I went here to vote and the staff were friendly. There was no line when I went. Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. The building itself is very small but they had signs with proposals for remodeling, which would be great! Happy to have this place in Fairmount - I know they do lots of good work!

I rented out the gym for a birthday party. I was misquoted twice. My setup times was rented on 3 times. Then I was told "I didn't say that". Your going to tell me what you said directly to me on 2 occasions you didn't. I was told I had to pay the balance the day of the party but when i went in to setup the rental I had to pay the deposit and after I paid that is when I was told you have to pay this Saturday. Well you should disclosed that before i paid. I understand completely why the firestation community center has issues with rentals. Giving people 15 minutes to setup is absurd. Having people to clean up during their party time is absurd. How would you feel going to an event or party and told the last hour or 30 minutes hey you have to clean up now so you can leave at your alloted time, everyone com on lets get ready to leave. Advice to the center and the city don't allow rentals at this location. Very unprofessional and I do not appreciate being lied to. Be upfront with information and actively listen.

Fire Station is a great asset to the neighborhood! They offer many classes and sports for children and families. There is a full basketball court and tennis courts, plus there is a nice weight room. They recently added a park outside for kids with nice, new play equipment. Great place
