Farmstead park is a great little gem in the middle of the suburbs. The park itself is on the smaller side, but the trails connect so easily to two other local parks; giving you many different walking options and distances. Upon immediate entry to the park, you will see their children's play area, small Pavilion with picnic tables, and public restrooms. There is a sand volleyball court, and a large soccer field. Benches and trash receptacles, a few pet clean up stations, maps, and emergency markers are easily found all along the trails. The walk is beautiful, staying mainly alongside the Clinton River. The walking/ hiking/biking path is paved and wide, so easy to share. There are multiple desire paths leading down to the river, and tangling through the wooded areas; giving you a lot of wandering options. Overall, Farmstead park is a great little slice of nature.
Farmstead Park is always where I begin the journey on the Clinton River trail system. I always come here and walk to the trail down to either side. During festivals, it’s great to park here and then walk to the festival from your car. It’s a little bit of work but worth it when you think about how hectic Downtown Sterling Heights is. Overall I love this park and it’s maintained phenomenally, with sometimes doing the DIA’s painting in the parks series.
Nice park! Very nice park great location believe it's behind dodge park it has two soccer fields in the back of it also has a basketball court and a volleyball ball area that has sand and a nice professional net also has a pavilion and bathrooms that are open also has a trail for bikes and walking that goes into dodge park definitely check it out if you have kids or like walking/biking trails
A nice park off of the Clinton River Trail. Very clean and had many features. A covered area to eat. Additional barbecues and picnic tables, restrooms, basketball court, sand volleyball court and children's playscape.
This is a gem of a park if you like basketball. The court is awesome and almost never being used. Also, if you like dodge parks nature but not the crowds you can enter the trail system here (:
