Lovely place to play pickleball. There is a half court for basketball and very nice landscaping. There weren't too many people, making it a peaceful experience. There is quite a lot of street parking if needed.
(also posted on their Yelp page) This review is for the pickleball court. There is only one court, but it is its own court with lines and a net. There are no wind guards and no lights. It will be hard to play in the dark when the sun goes down. Next to the pickleball court is half a basketball court. This place looks very new or not used much yet. There is a bench outside the court but no awning for shade. There is no dedicated parking lot here. You have to park on the streets, but it's free. There is a play area and jungle gym on the other side of the pickleball court. Good for dogs and small children. The park in general is small and quiet.
Only one pickleball court but it was nice and had chairs for those not playing
Overall, Fairbrook Neighborhood Park is a small but pleasant community park with basic amenities for families and children. The park has a plethora of picnic tables and two covered picnic areas that are available for rent. You will a half basketball court and a Pickleball court. There is also a playground for the younger kids. Fairbrook Park is tucked back in a neighborhood so the traffic is pretty low and the noise is minimal. There are also bathrooms located off the concrete path and water fountains are also available. This park is dog-friendly so bring your fur baby. This is a really nice place to spend a sunny afternoon in San Diego. Enjoy!
