I paid $300 to book this venue for a baby shower, and the experience was completely unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. They were supposed to contact us to confirm how many tables and chairs we needed. That never happened. We had to reach out ourselves. We were told everything would be set up before we arrived, but nothing was ready. Tables and chairs were still packed away, and we had to set them up ourselves, which took time and energy we should not have had to spend. We were also told we would have full kitchen access, including use of burners. That was one of the reasons I booked this venue. When I arrived, nothing had been set up and there was no kitchen access at all. Yes, I needed the burners, but I was already overwhelmed having to handle things that should have been done ahead of time. Later, when I asked for ice, instead of giving us kitchen access like we were promised, the staff member took the key, opened the kitchen door herself, filled my cup with ice, locked it back, and went back to her seat. That was the only access we had. We were also only given a 30-minute setup window. Yes, I knew about that in advance, but let’s be real — that’s unrealistic. Who is setting up tables, chairs, and decorating for an entire event in just 30 minutes? Especially when nothing is done ahead of time like they claimed. If I knew I would be setting up everything myself with such a tight window, I would have never booked this venue in the first place. To make it worse, I traveled four hours just to use this venue, only to walk into complete disorganization and stress. The woman working that day was rude and had a very condescending, “nice nasty” attitude. She didn’t greet us or say thank you for booking. The first thing she said during the walk-through was, “Did you guys use tape?” while pointing to a spot on the wall near our treat table. We never used tape in that area. Her tone was passive aggressive the entire time. When I told her we mopped before leaving, she said, “Oh, you couldn’t have. You must’ve just spot mopped.” Mind you, that was the same mop I had to go look for myself because no one told us where anything was. Then she brought over another worker who said, “Let’s just be real, it doesn’t look like they mopped.” I asked to speak to a manager, and she didn’t laugh but smirked — like she knew nothing would come from it. It was very much “go ahead, they’re not going to do anything to me” energy. The venue was also not clean when we arrived. There was gum on the floor and lime green stains. We didn’t have any gum or lime green decor, so clearly it was already there. When I mentioned it, she said, “I was here last night and I just know my custodians didn’t leave it that way.” But it obviously was not clean. Two months before the event, I called to get the table measurements to plan my setup. I was put on hold for 30 minutes. I had to call again from another number and was given the wrong measurements. I called back a third time to finally get the correct ones. I was made to feel like I was asking for too much just for trying to be prepared. The only person who spoke respectfully was the manager. She was more professional and polite, and I appreciated that. But that one interaction did not make up for the rest of the horrible experience. Overall, this was disappointing, stressful, and not worth the money or the time. I would never book this venue again and I do not recommend it to anyone. They do not value their customers, they do not communicate properly, and they do not deliver on what they promise. Didn’t feel welcoming at all!
Love this place. All the employees I have met have been friendly. My mom loves and has taught line dancing there on and off for years and my daughter has really loved taking gymnastics there with her instructors Lindsey and Nicole. Most programs are either affordable and some are even free. I'm fortunate to have such an awesome community center nearby.
Great neighborhood location. We were there for my little one to take swim lessons. The staff are very kind, and her instructor was just wonderful. Very patient with the little ones, (some much more reluctant than others), ages 3-5. My little one had a wonderful time, and looks forward to her return. Classes run $40 city resident, $50 for non-resident, Monday through Thursday, (for 1/2 hour periods) for two weeks.
Excellent place with huge space to do different activities like, cheerleading, basketball, baseball and swimming in the pool, also, have a game room with different table games, pool, console games, and even a conference/ general purpose room. Includes a gym and offer also, showers in the restroom to take a shower after use the gym, or use the basketball court. It's open until about 9pm and have plenty of parking space. It's located in a residential area very calm, and peaceful with a playground in the back of the building for the little one.
Enrolled my infant on water babies program. The “trainers” do not really do much, except explain the exercise and turn their backs, and look away. There is no guidance to the parents, there is not involvement with the class. This program (at least in this location and for infants) is a true waste of money. Do not recommend. The facility is fine, has the basics, just very old and bathrooms are plagued with mosquitoes.
