Cole Park

Cole Park is a large sprawling park in Uptown, near the 75 and Haskell. It offers lots of amenities but no grills and few picnic tables. I saw a lot of dogs and that's a good thing because they were happy and that made me happy! No unfriendly dogs or poop to be seen and smelled. Perhaps the best asset of the park is the many tall, graceful trees providing welcome shade and greenery. One particularly big/old one is near the kiddy playground. Must be a good 5' in diameter. I'm wondering if it's been here since the park opened in 1922. There is a small parking lot on the northeast corner, off of McKinney. Even so I imagine parking gets difficult on weekends and holidays. There's a DART station a short walk away. This is one of the few neighborhood parks worth traveling to visit.

What a great little park to run & have your kid bike along with, people come here to work out and exercise, I don’t know the area but it feels safe. I will definitely come back to run some more while I spend time with my kiddos.

Great little park just north of Uptown. Perfect place to escape the city with your pet, kids or a brisk morning coffee walk with a friend.

Great place for pickle ball and tennis. However the pickle ballers are taking the tennis court !!! They should have rules that tennis courts are ONLY for tennis not pickle ball.

This is a great neighborhood park. Great place for kids in the heart of "grown up" Uptown. There are tennis courts, a basketball court and a nice play structure. You can frequently find offerings such as Gladiator Bootcamp, Yoga and dog training.
