Clanton Park

Well maintained park with a lot of resources - pickleball, several playgrounds, and a basketball court. Not the cleanest bathroom but decent for a park.

Beautiful and spacious playground with plenty to do for everyone! There are multiple play structures, swings, basketball courts and baseball fields; as well as a small trail for walking and bikes, picnic table and benches outdoor restrooms and a recreation center, on site. Parking is plentiful, too.

Our nonprofit organization Uncle Sonny Initiative held a Mental Health Awareness Family Fun Day and 5k Walk at Clanton Park. Prior to making the decision to host our walk there, I visited the park a few times and found it to be a great place for people with all types of interest. The Irwin Creek Trail is a 5k hike round trip. The park has a playground, basketball courts, and a new pickleball court. Various sections of the park can be rented for events by reaching out to Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Department. We had the gazebo and the baseball field for our event and used the trail for our walk. The staff was very helpful on the day of the event, and the grounds were always well maintained.

I grew up in this community and this park is great for all of your outdoor activities! Family gatherings, couple or individual events are enjoyed here. This park is also known for being the location for the annual "Dalton Village Reunion"! With a baseball field, multiple basketball courts, playground, benches for seating, water fountains as well as handicapped accessible restrooms. Located here is also a recreation center For indoor activities as well! With accessible amenities for all people!

Very nice football field with a really nice large park for the kids to play. Enjoyed the flag football game.
