Chandler Park Fieldhouse

I have begun to walk here regularly! I suffer from hereditary hypertension & Seasonal Affective Disorder & need the bright lights in a place where I can walk as much as I wish to for a low annual fee! Praise God Almighty for this beautiful, clean & well staffed facility for the people of Detroit!

It’s 9:15am, and it says they’re supposed to be open @ 9am today. They are normally open @ 8am on Saturdays. There’s nothing on their website schedule, no info from the phone number, no Facebook page, no flier posted on any of the doors, and nothing on the City’s Parks & Rec website schedule. We really like this place! But someone in charge needs to update their communication protocols. Just bummed we assembled a group to get some good exercise, and now we’re all driving back home after an hour of driving and sitting around.

Super nice turf fields, new clean bathrooms, awesome facility. Playing ultimate frisbee there as part of a league and we love the turf quality and fantastic lighting. Confirmed with the staff that the Detroit city-wide recreation center pass will allow access.

Love this facility but the problem is the operating hours, I’ve come 3 different times around the same time of day and it’s been closed, no info on the doors as to why they’re not open or when they will open, please communicate what’s going on, it would be very helpful and folks in their cars etc., won’t have to ask each other what’s going on.

Actually looking forward to winter this year! Love the Chandler Bubble!
