Chamizal Community Center and Library

This place is pretty amazing. The kids have such a great place to hang out at after school. They have a gym to workout, a gym to play indoor sports, pool tables, and the restrooms even have showers. The library is attached which is a plus because they always have additional activities for everyone available. The playground area is really nice too. Wish they had more centers like this around town or maybe at each library.

My kids play sports here and they all have such a great time hanging out with friends and enjoying themselves I also go to the library when i need to print out documents and the staff is so helpful and kind. Thank You :)

I had a very disappointing experience at this community center. The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional from the start. Instead of being welcoming, they acted like we were an inconvenience. To make matters worse, even though we had paid for a set amount of time, they kept trying to cut it short and rush us out. It felt like they cared more about getting rid of us than providing good service. For a place that’s supposed to serve the community, their attitude was unacceptable. I would not recommend booking an event here unless you want to deal with unhelpful staff and a frustrating experience.

Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff & Unreliable Service I recently held an event at this place and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. While the venue itself may seem appealing, the way it is managed leaves much to be desired. From the start, the staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of being helpful, they were dismissive and spoke to us in a condescending manner. Despite having a contract that clearly outlined the terms of our rental, they did not honor it. One of the most frustrating issues was that they started pushing us out before our scheduled time was even up, cutting our event short and making our guests feel unwelcome. Additionally, we had access to the kitchen as part of our rental, yet we were restricted from using certain areas despite having paid for its use. There was no prior clarification about these limitations, which caused unnecessary stress during an already busy event. Overall, the poor attitude of the staff and their failure to respect the terms of our agreement made for a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this venue to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable event.
