Quite a large park with network of walkways. Lot of stuff that kids can enjoy playing here. Spread out lawns, tennis courts, baseball play area, basket ball courts. Got washrooms, picnic corners with benches, barbeque pits. Above all not much crowded. Great place for relaxing and a light nap.
This park covers a huge area! There are lots of green spaces with nice walking/biking paths throughout as well as a baseball field, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, and BMX park. There are two main playground structures, one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12. It is a small walk from the parking lot. Each has its own swing area and well as structures with slides, monkey bars, climbing structures, and musical toys built in. There is also a very large picnic table area with some coverage and grills plus a large parking lot with a good number of spaces. There is a public restroom available as well near the basketball courts. Overall a great place for families, pets, and those just looking to enjoy the outdoors.
This park has it all; BMX, tennis courts, basketball, fields for baseball or soccer, sand volleyball, 2 playgrounds for various ages, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, and plenty of shade to keep everyone comfy in the afternoon sun. We were very impressed with the playgrounds that seemed to have everything a kid could possibly want. There was even a "learning braille" board. It's the perfect place for kids to use up all their energy. Kid approved by the 6yr old π
The park is great, itβs fantastic to have BMX and so many options in one place. One star for the grass area between the bathrooms and softball field!! The giant grassy field is full of huge holes and craters that break ankles, tear up knees and snap dogβs legs. Walk with caution and avoid running in this field for any reason. Can a request be made to the City of San Jose to fill this area with dirt and sand to make it safe again?
Big park designed to accommodate many sports & activities. We played pickleball here on tennis courts marked for PB, with portable PB nets. The tennis nets conveniently stopped balls between courts. Out of 3 tennis courts, 2 were used to make 4 PB courts, and people took turns to play. Games go reasonably fast (every ~ 25 minutes) and people were courteous about taking turns. I really like the setup. The regulars here were very friendly and welcoming. Multiple skill levels made it easy for pickup games. Both genders well represented. In addition to the PB (and tennis) courts, there were basketball courts (5 basketball nets), volleyball, baseball/ soccer field, large play structure, dirt bike course. All these options (except the baseball field) can be seen in the attached photos. I realized the park accommodates sports appropriate for all different ages. Amazing.
