I work on election days- 2x per year. Today, they gym was 63 degrees and stayed that way until a person with "the code" that works here was able to turn up the heat. Fast forward to the later afternoon. The heating in the ceiling started making a very loud whirling squealing noise right above our voters station. We could not move it, so I went to the office and told them about the problem. The young man that was working said he could not address it, because he did not have "the passcode". The young lady said " It is the heating"..."we have to work here and have activities with the kids here and we have to deal with it all the time" I told her that I did not work here and that it was not acceptable as I and my poll workers could not hear and the voters could not hear us well, because of the noise. She stated it "was the heating system". I told her I did not care what it was, it needed addressed, as its not normal. This person was then rude and dismissive said we would have to "deal with it" ..." everyone else does". I told her she was rude and she mumbled and did some cocky head shakes- no idea what for. I just walked away. SURELY SOMEONE THAT WORKS HERE HAS THE WHEREWITHAL THAT SOMETHING IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. THIS IS A FACILITY THAT IS USED BY THE COMMUNITY- NAMELY CHILDREN. SHOULD THIS NOT BE ADDRESSED??? AS FOR THE YOUNGER FEMAL WORKING- I HOPE YOU ARE NOT FOCUSING ON A CAREER WITH KIDS BECAUSE YOUR ATTITUDE AND LACK OF RESPECT IS DISGUSTING.
Nice playground areas. Plenty of benches. Good shade. Wish the pavilion area was bigger for parties or you could rent a room in the rec center!
Nice rink for dek hockey! There is a shooting pad with goal as well.
Normally it is a very nice park but whenever they have a baseball tournament going on, there are way too many old kids there and the young kids get pushed out from the playground area. Parents need to keep an eye on their older children so that the younger children can still feel safe playing there. No less than four sets of parents felt the need to leave with their younger children from the playground area because the older kids had pretty much taken the whole thing over.
My granddaughter had a great time here fortunately there was not a whole lot of kids around so I felt comfortable with her being in the park. There are lots of things to do from slides to monkey bars gets a whole whole lot of things for the kids to do like they go out.
