Borden Park pickleball courts

Update 5/10( RARA has adjusted the schedule to Tuesday 6-8 and, much appreciate it!) Great courts and community until this year! Disappointed on the class and league taking over majority of the courts and 6-8pm premium time. People who work can only wait or pay extra to play. Also too late for a lot families and not fair for taxpayers that don’t need classes. Any league or class should not take more than half of the time of a week or half of the courts.

Pickleball courts are being taken up by Leagues Monday thru Thursday 6-8 pm plus Saturday mornings. This is a prime time for many of us who work during the day. We built an amazing community in the last 2 years and if you read comments on FB, we are very disappointed and outraged at the same time that this sport is now being monopolized for GREED. This is just not right. I am about to give up this sport as anywhere you turn now, you have to pay. Public park courts should not be used for this purpose. We pay taxes and should be able to use these courts without limitations or additional fees…

A great place to go and laugh at old people thinking a sport is standing still and swinging a paddle at a whiffle ball. But seriously, it's getting used way more than the tennis courts ever were, but they got a tent to block the sun while the hockey courts never got such a luxury.

Courts are now reserved for Leagues and ladder tournaments, which are taking up prime time of play. You can still use the courts, but no longer convenient. Why not build more courts to accomodate both sides.

Dear Borden Park Why would you allow the Pickleball courts to be reserved by leagues and clinics and hog up all the good timeframes As tax payers for the city these courts should be first come first serve open for everybody
