Very nice park. I came too late in the morning to enjoy the trails. The aviary is small and nice. Several birds to check out with a pond right next to it with ducks and turtles. There wasn't any wildlife at the wildlife viewing area. And all the animal pens were empty. Park is kept nice and clean. The bathroom was clean. Free park, lots of parking. Constables were available at the entrance.
I enjoy Bear Creek with my dog. We walk the trails and my dog likes the large open space where she can roam freely without disturbing other people. Many people have family picnics, bbq and different celebrations at the park. Those into fitness find use for the roads and trails for walking, running or cycling. Overall it has the basics you expect from a park. Nothing fancy but a simple change of landscape.
Great park that has it all! Playgrounds for kids, picnic areas, gazebos, grills, walking paths, and lots of space for dogs to have a happy run. There’s a pond with duckies and even a bird corner with stunning owls and talking parrots — the cutest buddies that totally made our day! 😃💖
Great place to explore, there is at least two cemeteries about a dozen old home sites and an abandoned golf course to explore and discover. The area has very interesting history.
Simply a beautiful specious location. Covers several acres and excellent accessibility.
