Beacon Hill Park – A Cityside Slice of Paradise Just a short and easy walk from downtown Victoria, Beacon Hill Park is a breathtaking escape that feels both peaceful and alive. Enter near the duck pond and you’ll be greeted by turtles sunning themselves on logs and sparkling water fountains dancing in the light. The grounds are immaculately maintained, with a beautiful mix of wooded trails and paved paths—perfect for every kind of visitor, whether you're walking, jogging, biking, or pushing a stroller. There are endless photo opportunities: rose gardens in full bloom, majestic peacocks roaming freely, and even the tallest totem pole on the West Coast. Public bathrooms are available, and there’s a lovely petting zoo for younger guests. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of an eagle overhead. It’s an ideal spot for a picnic, a slow stroll, or simply some quiet time in nature. I’m already looking forward to coming back to this city paradise.

Small and compact community park on the hill with a baseball field, a small playground and a wading pool, a basketball court and tennis courts. There are also public restrooms, which are clean and well maintained. A good place for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

I’m really glad that this place exists and is a community resource. I have played a lot here and met many great people in the park. The pickleball nets are a great addition to the courts as well. Restrooms are not always open but you make do.

I used to play here as a child over 50 years ago. My cousin and I walked down memory lane the other day and stopped here as we passed by
