Went to a pool party there for SanBorn elementary life guards and staff were great and polite. The pool had two sides one for the small kids and another for bigger kids and adults which the bigger kids had to take a swimming test in order to be able to swim on that side. Which I was glad to see. All in all that swimming pools were great five stars easily. Would love to go back even though I have a swimming pool at home
Great place to walk the dog, or just hang out . Walking paths, upper and lower, everywhere w/ distance signs. They were overseeding this day. It's now green grass everywhere. Pool, playground, a lot of parking. Including many disability stalls. Never crowded, covered picnic tables. Nice quiet place, close to everything.
Not a bad park at all. There are plenty of walking trails. Good amounts of parking. There are some large, very nice ramadas. There are a lot of options for active kids and adults. There is plenty of grass and shade for dogs. It is a pretty good location. My only issue is the proximity to Chandler Blvd. The noise level from passing motorcycles and ‘race’ cars can be jarring.
The courts are decent for playing but the cracked ground makes the ball bounce weird and there are not enough courts for the crowd, especially after work or on weekends. Some players do not rotate after games which makes waiting around frustrating. Overall it is fun but the place really needs repairs, more space, and better court etiquette.
I enjoy walking around the baseball diamonds and around the park and when I do go play pickle ball a lot of the times it is perfectly fun and easy to get a court. Sometimes the dynamics are not fair. Some people stay on the court while others have to rotate with people waiting.
