Allens Lane Park

Wonderful Mt. Airy Gem! The center is excellent for programs, plays, camps. The grounds are fun for all ages. Plenty of playgrounds, slides, xylophone type things, swing sets, 6-8 tennis courts, basketball court, field, parking. Come for a game, play, picnic, birthday party. Really a great place to spend some time. Fun note: i was tennis champ here the summer after 8th grade.

This place is nice and quiet....nice tennis courts and a basketball court. 4 years ago someone also posted a review about this same place and took a picture that has two girls playing basketball and posted it here. I'm taking the same photo at the same angle and it's really cool to see how much the trees grew

It’s a great local playground but some of the wooden play structure is really showing it’s age. A year ago I had to take my torque driver to the playground to remove exposed and rusted screws. I couldn’t get to all of them, but I did what I could. I really wish the playground was better kept but it does it’s job.

I love this park. I’ve been coming here for so long so many different years. I grew up coming here good people clean environment very nice basketball courts very nice park lots of space for you to run around tables to sit and eat as well they have an art center and fun especially on a nice hot summer day Make sure you bring your water. It’s very important a lot of it bring a towel and a fan if you wish so you can cool off. and bring a bite to eat. It’s always good to have something on your stomach. And bring lots of off spray for the mosquitoes because they were out there big time

We attended a memorial service and dedication at the Allen's Lane Art Center, and the weather was not conducive to being outside. However, the art center was lovely, as was the event. It is surprising that a rather small building hosts so many worthwhile events, public and private, throughout the year. We are pleased to support the Center and look forward to enjoying the grounds--if Spring EVER arrives!!!
