My kid really enjoys this park. On these extremely hot days I wish the trees would provide more shade for relief. Luckily we can walk into the library on occasions. Depending on the hours Also, the exit/ entry driveway should get a revise, as it is really narrow, when turning into the park. (From the kirkwood side. )

Alief Neighborhood Community Center is Wow, just wow! I was truly amazed by the Alief Neighborhood Community Center. This was my first time visiting, joining a friend for a game of pickleball, and I have to say, I was blown away by how beautiful and welcoming this facility is. Everything here looks brand new, and it’s clear that they do an excellent job of managing and maintaining the space. The staff stood out as incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me with registration right at the court, making the whole process easy. The center is well-equipped, with dedicated lockers for players, making it ideal for various sports like basketball, pickleball, and other games. The cleanliness of the facility is remarkable—everything is well-aligned, neat, and tidy. The outdoor amenities are equally impressive. There are about eight well-maintained tennis courts, a fantastic playground for kids, and a skateboard area where children can play and make new friends. The center also has swings, slides, and plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the surroundings. They even have outdoor ping-pong tables and a designated outdoor eating area to enjoy the weather. Parking is abundant, with both a parking garage and a free parking lot, so finding a spot is never an issue. Although I haven’t fully explored the community center, what I’ve seen so far is amazing—the huge swimming pool, the attention to detail from the staff, and the convenient location close to my home. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot for fun, relaxation, and recreation. Highly recommended!
